Quantitative Developer / Quant Analyst (Python + derivatives + pricing/risk platform development)
Overview
We are seeking a hands-on Quantitative Developer / Quant Analyst to support the migration of a legacy QIS platform into a modern, strategic architecture. This role is focused on quant development, platform migration, and delivery, rather than pure research.
Key Responsibilities
- Reverse engineer legacy quant models, calculations, and analytics
- Migrate pricing, index, and calculation logic into a new strategic platform
- Support consolidation of multiple QIS capabilities into a unified architecture
- Perform rigorous reconciliation, validation, and testing throughout migration
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery of platform transformation
Required Skills
- 5–8 years in Investment Banking or Capital Markets Technology
- Expert Python development skills
- Experience with derivatives or structured products
- Built or maintained pricing engines, risk engines, or quantitative libraries
- Worked on platform modernization or legacy migration projects
- Strong numerical and quantitative aptitude
- Experience with APIs, distributed systems, and production software
- Hands-on experience with reconciliation, validation, and regression testing
- Comfortable working with quants, traders, and technology teams
Qualifications
- Strong Python development skills
- Solid numerical ability with strong quant intuition
- Experience interpreting and working with complex legacy codebases
- Familiarity with analytics libraries, APIs, and distributed systems
- Experience in financial markets, particularly derivatives and structured products
- Pragmatic, delivery-focused, and comfortable working in ambiguous environments
